The CBSE Class 8 Science Syllabus 2025-26 has been developed thoughtfully on the basis of new updated NCERT textbooks in alignment with NCF 2023 and NEP 2020 goals. The CBSE Class 8 Science Syllabus provides a hand-on, inquiry-based teaching approach that nourishes curiosity and logical thinking among the students. It includes major areas such as physics, chemistry, biology and environmental science, including subjects such as force and pressure, chemical effects of electric current, reproduction in animals, pollution, and more. Through activities, comments and examples of real -life, learners are encouraged to detect scientific concepts, conduct experiments and to relate them to the world around them. CBSE Class 8 Science Syllabus not only strengthens basic knowledge, but also believes in implementing scientific nature and science in everyday life.

CBSE Class 8 Science Syllabus 2025-26 - Learning Outcomes

• Find out how forces affect everyday life - students will understand how to use a brake on a bicycle to walk on the road, how to push and stretch, pressure and friction affect movement.
• Understand the sound and its behavior - know how vibrations produce sound, how it travels through air and solids, and some materials can block or reflect it.
• Check chemical reactions through romantic experiments, student combustion, acid base reactions and how the substances change during these procedures.
• Class materials such as metals and non-metals-identify the unique properties of materials used in homes, construction, equipment and packaging.
• Discover the subtle world of cells - introduced to plant and animal cells, their structure, and how they all make the basis of life.
• Understand breeding in animals - learn about the process of reproduction, including fertilization, birth and roles of various body systems.
• Explore changes during adolescence - in a sensitive way, students will study physical, emotional and hormonal changes during growing up.
